Oh So Feb Outfit of the Day
I know I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done an outfit of the day! I’m sorry I’m terrible about keeping up regularly. I’ve noticed that I tend to post in fits and starts, clustered around times when I have thesis deadlines (can anyone say ~self sabotage~?). Anyways, I wanted to post this fun wintery outfit!
A week or so ago I went out for the afternoon to wander around Boston with my friends, Maya and Zaynah. It was chilly, but there wasn’t any nasty snow on the ground yet, so I could still wear cute shoes (I fear I’m stuck in my clunky rain boots now until all this gross snow melts *sigh*). Anyways, I milled about, heading to the new Muji store (I got a lot of fun pens, and a free notebook!), Georgetown Cupcakes, Lens Crafters (I just got some new glasses frames that needed adjusting, and apparently they’ll do it for free…?), and then got dinner and hot chocolate at Max Brenner. I’m such a big fan of their Mexican hot chocolate since it’s what I grew up drinking -- a sweet, slow burn, yum!
Vickey, my usual camerawoman, had class all afternoon, but Zaynah substituted and she did a marvelous job!
I’m wearing Madewell denim culottes, a Gap sweater I got from Mom Aquino, my blue suede sock boots that I got in Rome, and gold hoops from Francesca’s.
Now, I may be from Chicago and thus feel the cold differently, but I’m not invincible (or foolish), and I was wearing a coat! I got my coat from TopShop, and my tote bag was a bridesmaid gift from Willow! I’m also sporting a new haircut! I went shorter than I normally do, but I’m into it. I’ve embraced the my hair’s frizzy tendencies more and more lately. It’s liberating. This cut feels at once very 20s and very 80s. I dig it.
Anyways, that’s all I’ve got for you today. Just a quick update! Please feel free to comment people and robots of the internet!
